First pictures of
our beautiful boys, who are now making themselves comfortable in
their new home. The new enclosure is continuing to be built, which
will give them a huge area of around 1000 sq metres to roam in, as
well as an undercover area for off-display training activities.
Tons and tons of
steel girders and mesh have been arriving to the Zoo for the start
of the building of the new lion enclosure in early July. The Off
Display Visitor Activity Centre planned next to the lion enclosure
will also be started in the next few weeks. Its been a long haul to
get to this point and we are very excited that at last we can start
April 30 2012
Loic and Anouk, from France, have been extremely busy creating a
wonderful work of art on the new front entrance. It looks truly
stunning and we have lots of great feedback from our visitors. Make
sure you check out the animals on the back as well!
Gates are hung in time for Christmas - they look great. Animal
shapes are taking place too - the back wall now has a tree complete
with koala, chameleon, owl and other smaller animals. Check them out
as you leave!
